This would be an excellent reference for someone with a Victorian style home. The book also has some simpler fence designs, but most are quite ornate.

I purchased this book because I was building an outdoor gate for the first time, and I needed the "how-to" of designing a gate, both from a structural and an asthetic perspective. This book was perfect for this beginner gate designer - good examples, pictures and design ideas.
