GTO/Pro problem with board?
I have a GTO series 1000 single opener. The unit locks open all the time & when it does both the black and red wires show to be hot at the board. It is not the motor as I checked it and it works both directions when tested by itself. I feel that the problem is the control board.
If this is correct let me know and the price.

Thank you for writing. Your problem could be related to the board, but I'd first check all power sources. With a voltmeter, you can check the outlet itself (110VAC) the transformer and battery, the latter two which should not be below 12VDC. More than likely, if you've tested the gate operator when not on the gate and it works fine, your gate may be binding or the stall force is set too low. Check the gate to make sure the hinges are not binding, then you can check the gate operator's stall force/obstruction sensitivity. Recalibrating the stall force or obstruction sensitivity is written about here in the gate opener manual:
